The brief was essentially a PSA - and the result was a slightly stylized, highly emotional documentary film that eschews the typical approach to sports storytelling, and embraces the high-stakes, emotionally taut cinematic qualities of a deeply personal film. In collaboration with Kelley, we sought to tell her story with as much gravitas & candor that she would give us. The result reverberates as an anthem for young women, and a moment for those who struggle with their fertility to be seen. Brave, bold & honest - exactly like Kelley O’Hara herself.
